For 46 years, Heartland has been a non-for-profit community owned facility. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors consisting of local citizens.
I am Penny Chrysler, and I was appointed as the Administrator in December 2010. I have been a part of the Heartland Nursing Center family for over 30 years. I have held the positions of Certified Nursing Assistant (2 years), Social Service Director (10 years), and Director of Nursing Secretary (19 years).
The process of placing a loved one in any advanced care facility can be very trying, and even potentially confusing, at times. This can be true for many family members as well as the resident. Because of this we want to make sure any potential concerns are allayed and that all inquiries are addressed. Both myself, and the entire staff at Heartland Manor, would be more than willing to assist you with any questions that might arise or help guide you, and any caring party, with any and all pre-admission decisions that might need to be made.
When you admit a loved one to Heartland you and your family becomes a part of our extended family. I invite you to come take a tour and see for yourself what life at Heartland is all about. We encourage our residents to stay as independent as possible and give them the opportunity to continue to make choices concerning their daily lives and care, whenever possible.
